課程概述

As suggested by its title, the major objective of this course is to introduce to students, based upon the theories and principles of second language learning and teaching, actual classroom teaching methods and materials in various skill areas. This will be achieved by:
1. discussing and developing a personal philosophy of education
2. providing a perspective on the major approaches, methods, techniques, and materials for teaching English as a second or foreign language
3. (if can be arranged) attending guest-lectures given by experienced junior/senior high school English teachers
4. conducting group textbook analysis projects based on teaching principles and insights gained from class discussions and guest-lectures
